Who We Are
Founded in 2016, Evergreen Ag was built on firsthand farming experience and professional agronomic expertise. We don’t just sample soil, we understand it. With a trained eye and years in the field, every sample we take is a true, accurate reflection of your land. We proudly serve local farmers and ag retailers with soil sampling that is fast, dependable, and cost-effective. Our focus is simple: deliver the data you need, when you need it, so you can make confident decisions for your operation.
Evergreen Ag is led by Dane Froese, Founder and Head Agronomist. A lifelong farmer, Dane brings practical, real-world insight to every field he works in. He is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) through the American Society of Agronomy, meeting Manitoba’s standards for providing crop production guidance.
Dane takes pride in seeing strong, healthy crops emerge across the fields he works with—it’s the clearest sign that the job is being done right. And while the prairies may not stay green year-round, Evergreen Ag is built on the idea that your success should.
What we offer
Soil is the key to all crop production. Without a healthy, fertile soil, all your best-laid intentions and expenses may not reach their full potential. Soil testing is a key component of understanding what the soil can provide, and where more (or less) is needed to best match your crop goals. Matching your soil fertility to your crop yield potential maximizes the impact of your fertilizer budget, and that, in turn, literally grows a business and saves money.
We offer the following services in late summer and autumn, post-harvest:
- Composite Sampling (0-24")
- VR Zone Sampling (0-24")
Producers have the choice of selecting the appropriate soil analysis, down to 24" in depth. Our normal procedure is to sample the top 6" for all macronutrients and bottom 18" for soil-mobile nitrogen and sulphur nutrients. We recommend the following soil analysis options from Agvise Laboratories for cost effective analysis:
- Small Grain
- Row Crop
- Full (Complete) Analysis
